PATIVILCA Project
The project is located in the West of Central Andes of Peru, approximately 200 km NW of Lima (Huarmey, Anchas department).
The project area is at an altitude between 300 and 1,000 meters above sea level.
The mine follows the North Mineralization Trend in the district of Huarez, along with major gold producing projects such as Lagunas Norte and Pierina (both owned by Barrick Gold).
Barrick is a world leader in gold production and Lagunas Norte and Pierina are considered to be some of their most treasured deposits in Peru.
Lagunas Norte expects to produce 850,000 ounces of gold in 2007, and their estimated gold reserves of 8.8 million ounces.
In 2006, Pierina produced 509,000 ounces of gold, and they are expecting another 500,000 ounces in 2007 with the mineral reserves of 1.2 million ounces of gold.
Pativilca mine is located south of the Barrick projects and the inherent trends indicate that the property has very rich mineral reserves.
Located West of Central Andes
Pativilca mine is easily accessible by highway, approximately 200 km NW of Lima (capital of Peru).
